Let’s keep this simple

All standard licenses are perpetual.  Once a standard license is purchased, you do not have to worry about renewing it after a certain period of time. It’s valid until doomsday. Now that we’ve got that covered, let’s discuss uses.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am not sure which license is best for me. How can I find out!

When considering which license is the best fit for your project, we recommend taking a step back and looking at the end user of your film, and what do they need in terms of license coverage? While you may be the one purchasing the license, you also need to ensure it will cover who the film or slideshow is for, and how they will use and distribute it. For instance, while you may not be receiving any compensation for the film, it still could actually require a Small Business Promotional License for the recipient.

To help you find the best fit, continue reading below for a highlight of the Permitted and Non-Permitted uses of each standard license type, or check out our legal page.

Can you elaborate on what ‘uses’ means?

Each client is an individual use.  In addition, each edit is an individual use. For our Wedding License you may use each song license up to 5 times, or in other words, for up to 5 different clients or edits.  For all other licenses each license is for a single use (single client/edit) only.

Is there a bulk license option if I want to purchase more than a single license at a time?

Purchase 5 licenses at a single time and receive a 10% discount.  Purchase 10 licenses at a single time and receive a 20% discount.  Our shopping cart will automatically recognize the discount when you add the specified number of songs.
